Chianna and Red Dog give their seal of

approval for the site where the new clinic was built.

Chianna- I looked long and hard at potential sites for the new clinic, but then I decided that next door would be just fine so I don't have to walk so far.

  From the Desk of Chianna...

Well, it seems that we have managed to unfreeze ourselves and survive the holidays. It's gonna start to warm up and maybe some of Mom's flowers will grow back. . I'm thinking that most of them are goners. She's got a lot of digging ahead of her. Anyway, since it's almost Valentine's Day and spring is coming soon, it makes me all warm and mushy inside. After all, I am a very warm and sensitive and compassionate dog . . . when I want to be. I think it is important to always let the people around you know exactly what you think and how you feel. Of course, sometimes, they may not want to know, but that really isn't my problem.

So, I would like to start by pointing out how amazing my Dad is and how much I love him. He really is the coolest, ever. We take naps together and sometimes, he even lets me on the couch when Mom isn't looking. He plays tug of war and wrestles with me, but I, usually, let him win. . . You know how sensitive guys can be. Of course, sometimes, he tries to play with me when it's dinner time, which is just CRAZY. I mean, I love my Dad, bunches and bunches, but at dinner time. . . it's game on!

But I digress. My Dad is awesome cuz, not only is he smart and funny and compassionate and honorable, but he is also a Firefighter. That means he will run into a burning building when everyone else is running out. My mom says that makes him a special kind of crazy, but I think she means it in a nice way. He thinks about other people before he thinks about himself and, in my eyes, that makes him a hero. He doesn't like for me to call him that, but since this is my page, I get to say it out loud. He's my hero, because I can always count on him, no matter what. . .he always has my back. My Dad is the very bestest (yes, it's a word in my dictionary) and I will always love him. Everyone knows someone in their life that is special like that. It doesn't necessarily have to be family or even someone that you see all the time. Whoever it is, you should take the opportunity to show them how you feel and how important they are to you.

It's a new year and a new start for everyone, so let's get started off on the right paw. We spend so much time arguing about all the things we disagree about and separating ourselves from people who think or act differently that we fail to recognize all the things we have in common. Everyone disagrees about something, but it doesn't have to be a deal breaker. When Mom got suckered into the new Monster Kitty, I was a little concerned. His original name was PC Intel, cuz he was found by Jeff, who is a such a total nerdy computer geek. However, when he got home, he started chewing Mom's books, climbing the drapes and biting EVERYBODY, including ME! Needless to say, I determined that Monster Kitty was a more appropriate name for the little beast. He is disruptive and obnoxious and into everything that doesn't belong to him, and I was not digging it. That's when I noticed him starting to torture Penelope. He would bite her tail and her toes and then crawl or jump on her back and bite her ears and nose and I started laughing my tail off. It was too cool! Even the Monster and I found we had something in common. . . torturing the little sister! Yeah!!!

So, in closing, let me say that, although, I am nearly always right, it is important to try to see the other persons point of view. . .even when they are wrong. Try to find what you can agree upon and come together, rather than picking out all of your differences. Everyone has, at least, one good quality. . . I have several hundred myself, LOL. AND, always, show the people and animals and monsters in your life, that you think they are pretty darn cool.

All My Love

Chianna
